Lori Huber Bartnick, 44, passed away June 1, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck, due to a short illness from sepsis.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, at Church of St. Anne, Bismarck, with the Rev. Wayne Sattler officiating.Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7 p.m.Lori (Huber) Bartnick was born in Bismarck on December 19, 1972, daughter of Allen and Bernie (Johs) Huber, the oldest child of two. Her paternal grandparents were Valentine and Rose (Roehrich) Huber. Her maternal grandparents were John J. and Ann (Gefre) Johs. Lori grew up in Mandan and later in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1991 and from the ND State College of Science, Wahpeton, with a degree in nursing in 1994. In 1996 she married Bryan Bartnick. To this union, two children were born, a son, Brady, in 1997 and a daughter, Katie, in 2003. Lori was employed at St. Gabriel's Community until the time of her death. Her love, compassion and caring for the residents was evident, as she was an excellent nurse and loved her job.Lori enjoyed cooking, reading, fishing with her dad and brother, and especially spending time with her son and daughter. Her kids were her life. She very much enjoyed attending country music concerts with her daughter, Katie.Lori will be so dearly missed by her daughter, Katie, her parents, Allen and Bernie Huber, Bismarck, her brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Lori Huber, and their children, Saralyn, Madison and Megan, Bismarck, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and former husband Bryan Bartnick, Bismarck.She was preceded in death by her son, Brady (in 2015), her grandparents, and her uncle and godfather, George Johs (in 1991).
