Lorine “Lori” A. Kraft, 95, Bismarck, died February 6, 2019, at Sunset Drive-A Prospera Community, Mandan. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 13, at McCabe United Methodist Church, 1030 N 6th St., Bismarck, with Rev. Jenny Hallenbeck-Orr officiating. Visitation is from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 12, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck. Burial will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 13, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Lori was born on November 10, 1923, in Zap, ND, the daughter of John and Ida Kaufmann. She grew up in Zap, graduated from Zap High School and took practical nurses training at the Beulah Hospital. During World War II, she sold her bicycle to pay for a train ticket to Oregon where she worked for Oregon’s Physicians Service, Medical Insurance, Portland, OR. Upon returning, she worked for State Hail Insurance in Bismarck; the Public Health Lab, UND, Grand Forks, ND; Public Welfare, Bismarck, ND; and was a receptionist for Quain & Ramstad Clinic in Bismarck for 14 years prior to her retirement. On June 23, 1946, she married the love of her life, Robert Kraft. They raised a family and spent 54 years, always together, until Robert’s death in 2000. Lori was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church, Shriner’s Auxiliary, Elks Lodge, and a past member of the Golden K Kiwanis. Lori was an excellent cook and was especially known for her divinity and pies. Lori is survived by her daughter, Bobbie (Bill) Tenborg, Statesville, NC; son, Randy (Shelly) Kraft, Mandan, ND; her grandchildren, Sommer and Jon and their families; along with her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kraft; and her sister, Ella Taylor. Memorials may be given to McCabe United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts of American, or the Masonic H.E.L.P.
