Lorraine Graf

Lorraine Graf, a cherished member of her community and beloved matriarch, passed away on September 24, 2024 at St. Vincents Nursing Home in Bismarck, North Dakota. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, Sept. 27, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.

Lorraine was born on September 15, 1932, to Peter and Magdelena (Lestmeister) Goldade in Selz, North Dakota. She lived a life rich with love, family, and hard work.

Her education began in Harvey, North Dakota, laying the foundation for a life filled with curiosity and learning. 

Lorraine married Alton in 1982, and together they created a loving home filled with cherished memories. 

Lorraine, alongside her husband, Alton, spent several years farming near New Salem, ND. Their partnership in both life and work was a testament to their dedication and shared dreams.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Moore, Caroline (Allen) Stein and Nancy (Gordon) Peil; sister, Sally Sexton; eight grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and four great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton; and her son-in-law, Daniel Moore.

Lorraine's nurturing spirit and steadfast love left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her family will forever remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
