Lucille was born on July 25, 1940, to Andrew and Anna (Hoffman) Eckroth. She was the youngest of 13 children. Lucille married Thomas Bosch on July 18, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mandan, ND. She attended St. Anthony grade school, Mandan High School, and beauty school in Mandan. She raised her five children, provided in-home daycare, and worked for Dan's Supermarket prior to retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Caring Hearts Quilters at Church of Corpus Christi in Bismarck, completing over 300 quilt tops to raise money for the church.
Lucy’s hands were always busy doing something creative. She loved to quilt, cross-stitch, and paint. She also enjoyed doing the daily crossword puzzle and crocheting hats for the babies born in Bismarck hospitals. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but most importantly, her “favorites” which were her grandchildren. One of the great things about Lucy is she would do anything for anyone. Family and friends were important to Lucy, and her practical, outspoken nature will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her daughters Lauri (Greg) Wavra, Sandra Sweeney, and her friend Craig Unser, her sons, Russell (Sonja) Bosch, Clark Bosch, and Thomas Bosch. Her eight grandchildren were her greatest joy, Harper and Christian Wavra, Treyton, Kyler and Callie Bosch, Riley and Dylan Bosch, and Dakota Sweeney. She is also survived by a brother, Jacob Eckroth.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, five brothers, and six sisters and a grandson Kent Edward Wavra.
