Lucille Ritz

The Lord took Lucille Ritz into his loving arms on January 22, 2024. 

Lucille was 90 years old at the time of her death. She was previously a resident at Edgewood on Dominion St. and recently moved to Missouri Slope, Bismarck. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, Jan. 29, at Century Baptist Church, 205 Colt Ave, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

Following the funeral service and before the burial, family invites you to join them for lunch & fellowship at the church.  

Lucille was born on February 8, 1933, to William and Leana Miller. On Oct. 1, 1952, she married the love of her life, Herbert Ritz. They were blessed celebrating 71 years of marriage. She started her married life by working and caring for her husband and three children and enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked many years at Arrowhead Cleaners. 

Lucille enjoyed spending time & chatting with her friends, dancing, playing cards and traveling. She once told her daughter that when she started her married life that she wasn’t a very good cook or baker. Over time, she perfected these skills. Lucille's potato salad, fried chicken and caramel rolls were especially great.. her family and friends loved them!

Lucille is survived by her husband, Herbert Ritz; their three children, Jeff (Cindy) Ritz, Judy Schieve and Mary Rader; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Miller; and many nieces & nephews.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, William & Leana Miller; and siblings, Grace, John Miller and Carl Miller.
