Lucretia Silbernagel, 80, of Bismarck ND, passed away Wednesday May 31st, 2023.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 PM Monday June 5th at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bismarck and a luncheon after burial at Corpus Christi.
Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2PM Sunday June 4th at Parkway Funeral and Cremation Service. Moose Ritual will be offered at 2PM followed by a rosary and vigil service.
Lucretia was born June 10th, 1942 in Mandan, ND to Kasper and Lokraze (Messer) Erhardt being the youngest of thirteen children. She graduated from New Salem high school in 1960, being the first one in her family to have that opportunity.
Lucretia married Christian Silbernagel of Bismarck, ND on June 30th, 1962. They went on to have three children, Shane, Kris, and Shawn.
Lucretia spent 15 years working for Selective Service, one year at the state of North Dakota, and 34 years working for the Social Security Administration. Upon retirement, she volunteered at the Mandan Moose Lodge, and Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
She dedicated nine years of her life to volunteering at the Moose, earning Senior Regent in 1996, Jr. Graduate Regent in 1997, and Deputy Grand Regent in 2015, along with being a chairperson on several committees.
Lucretia liked to garden with her husband, cook with her daughter and granddaughters, listen to Erhardt Country and taking winter trips down south bringing back items for friends and family. Some of her favorite things to make were creamed chicken, sloppy joes, kuchen, salsa and pickles.
Lucretia is survived by her husband Christian of 61 years; children: Kris (John) Casement of Savage, MN, and Shawn Silbernagel of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughters Victoria and Elizabeth Casement; brothers: Matt (Josephine) Erhardt of Center, ND and Kasper (Linda) Erhardt of Grand Forks, ND: sisters in-law: Shirley (Ray) Erhardt of Mandan, ND and Vivian (Constantine) Erhardt of Bismarck, ND.
She was preceded in death by her first son, Shane David; her parents and her siblings Rose, Michael, Baby Kasper, Frances, Margaret, Othilda, Veronica, Constantine, Jacob, and Raymond.
