Lyle Dohrmann, formerly of Taylor, ND passed away Aug. 30, at his home in Rapid City, SD.A memorial service will be held Wed., Sept. 20, at Immanuel Church of Taylor at 1:30 pm (MT), with Rev. Mark Bosserman officiating.Inurnment will be in the ND Veteran’s Cemetery, Mandan, Thurs., Sept. 21 at 3 pm (CT).Lyle George Dohrmann was born Feb. 2, 1942 to Kenneth and Laura (Bonnie) Dohrmann. He grew up on the family farm, NW of Taylor, attended country school and graduated from Taylor High School in 1960. December of 1961, he enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in December of 1964. While in the Army he served as a helicopter mechanic stateside.Lyle was a great visitor. He could talk about anything from politics to world affairs to sports. His favorite pastime was following baseball, football, rodeo and NASCAR. Much of his life, he was a heavy equipment operator for various construction companies. Anything he did, was done to perfection.He leaves his brother, Bill (Jeanette), Taylor; sister, Darlene Wolf, Bismarck; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, twin aunts, Leona and Lenora Dohrmann, brother-in-law, Ray Wolf and niece, Audrey Dohrmann.
