Lynnette Blakeman

August 14, 1950 — September 24, 2019

Lynnette Jeanne Woeste Blakeman, 69, died September 24, 2019 in her home in Bismarck. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, September 30, 10:00 AM at the Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N. Second St., Bismarck.

Family will start greeting visitors Sunday, September 29, 3:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck. A Rosary/Vigil Service will begin at 4:00 PM.

Lynnette was born August 14, 1950. She grew up in Glen Ullin. Her parents were Virgil and Jeanne (Tschida) Woeste. She graduated from Glen Ullin High School in 1969. She continued her education at Black Hills State, University of North Dakota and University of Mary. Throughout her career she worked as a nursing home administrator, accountant and apartment manager. She also served on credit union boards, and was involved with the Girls Scouts

Lynnette was very involved with her family and friends and loved to spend time with them especially in Bismarck, Fargo, Lake Tschida, Minnesota and South Dakota. She loved to travel, cook, play, listen to music, read and be surrounded by kids of all ages. She loved sports especially NDSU Bison football, the Philadelphia Eagles and Carson Wentz. Her biggest joy was attending ALL events of her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews being their biggest fan and often loudest cheerleader!

She is survived by her daughter Michelle Blakeman (Brian Saxerud) and grandchildren Jack and Harlow Pitts (Fargo); sister Gina Woeste (Poulsbo, WA); brother Bob and Kay Woeste (Glen Ullin); sister Sharon Rohrich (Bismarck);  sister Jane Mosbrucker (Bettendorf, IA);  and sister Beverly (John) Renner (Omaha, NE).

Loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews who blessed Lynnette’s life were: Tyler (Val) Woeste- Lauren, Makenna, Kate; Samantha (Dusty) Mattson- Bailey, Jacob, Lucas; Tamsen (Kuhaku) Caravalho- Kai, Makoa; Alyssa (Ethan Skowronski-Lutz) Kilzer; Scott Kilzer; and Chris Kilzer.

Lynnette was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Jeanne (Tschida) Woeste; and her siblings, James, Michael and Jane Anne.
