Marc Todd Schwede, 52, of Bismarck, ND, passed away on May 10, at Miller Pointe Care Center due to complications of Myotonic Dystrophy. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 10:30 am at Church of St. Mary, 806 E. Broadway Ave., Bismarck, with Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be at St Mary’s Cemetery following the church service. Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation. Marc was born in on August 22, 1964, in Glendive, MT, to Robert and Sally Schwede. He graduated from Williston High School, and went on to receive an Associates of Arts degree from Williston State College. Marc worked as a Black Jack dealer while living in Williston. After moving to Bismarck he worked as a Medical transporter at Med Center One. Marc enjoyed fishing, hunting, telling stories and just visiting with people. He was an avid Miami Dolphin fan and cheered them on whether winning or losing. Marc is survived his by two sons, Taylor Schwede of Bismarck and Tate Schwede of Mandan. He is also survived by two brothers, Michael (Jill) Schwede, Rochester, MN, and Charles (Ann) Schwede, Cannon Falls, MN; two sisters, Cynthia Sylte, Bismarck, and Connie Heidt (Dick), Bismarck; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Marc is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally Schwede; and brother-in-law, Calvin Sylte. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St Mary’s Cemetery in Bismarck, ND.
