Margery A. Wyckoff, 78, Bismarck, passed away March 13, 2025 with her husband by her side following a long journey with many health challenges.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20 at Church of St. Anne, 1321 Braman Ave, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A rosary/vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Margery was born to Anton and Ann (Hutzenbiler) Heidt in Stark County, the oldest of nine siblings. She was baptized and confirmed at Gaylord Catholic Church. She was raised on a farm south of Belfield and graduated from Belfield High School.
On June 1, 1968, she married Wayne Wyckoff of Sentinel Butte, N.D. In 1969 they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Dawn, and again in 1970 with the birth of their son, Travis.
She and Wayne lived in several different locations through the years. Margery worked in the food service industry until her retirement in 2008. After retirement, Margery and Wayne started their new chapter in life, titled “snowbirds.” They wintered in Arizona and summered on Lake Audubon in North Dakota. Margery made many friends through the years.
Margery was a great cook and baker. She will be forever remembered for her caramel rolls and chocolate cake. She enjoyed playing cards, BINGO and dominos. She looked forward to traveling around the country and visiting with friends and family.
She was a kind, loving, strong, and stubborn woman all in one. She was a great friend, daughter, sister, and most of all, a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved her children dearly and her grandchildren more.
Margery is survived by her husband, Wayne; children, Dawn (Joe) Faller, Bismarck, and Travis (Elvira) Wyckoff, Portage, MI; granddaughters, Amy Faller, TN, and Ella and Gwenyth Wyckoff, Portage, ME; siblings, Betty Singer, Jim (Blanche) Heidt, Darlene (Pete) Schmitt, Rosalie (Bob) Kubas, Margaret (Tom) Anderson, and Louis Heidt; sister-in-law, Renae Heidt; brother-in-law, Bernard Evans; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tony Heidt; sister, Arlene Evans; nephews, Michael Evans and Brian Heidt; and grandson, Christopher Faller.
