Marie Jane Feist, 80, Bismarck, died June 25, 2017, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 30, at Church of St. Mary, 806 E. Broadway Ave., Bismarck, with Rev. Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be 2:00 pm Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, June 29, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm. Marie was born on March 11, 1937, in Linton, ND, the daughter of Peter and Agatha (Schwab) Jahner. She graduated from Linton High School in 1957. Marie married Anton “Tony” Feist on June 24, 1961, in Linton. Following their marriage they lived in Bismarck. She worked as a CNA at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home and spent 19 years at Medcenter One. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Marie was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend. She had a wonderful, calm demeanor and made everyone feel special and valued. She enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling, attending her children and grandchildren’s events, watching the MN Twins and Vikings games. She also loved playing marbles late into the night. Her death is a profound loss for all who loved her. She always had a positive attitude and never complained when times were tough. She will be greatly missed. Marie is survived by her children, Darryl (Wendy), Karen Lomasang (Cesar), Dean, Kim, and Dale (Gwen); four grandchildren, Bailey and Braxton Feist, and CJ and Krista Lomasang; sisters-in-law, Margie Wolbaum, Veronica Jahner, and Ann Schatz; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Pebbles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; her parents; daughter-in-law, Shelley Feist; seven brothers, Frank, Christian, Lawrence, Buddy, Peter, Greg, and John; and five sisters, Agatha, Ann, Jean, Pady and Betty.
