Mark F Glass of Bismarck, ND passed away June 4, 2018, at the age of 64, after a battle with brain cancer. Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday June 13th with a rosary/vigil being held at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday June 14th at Church of Ascension, 1825 S 3rd St, Bismarck, ND with lunch being served. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery following lunch. Mark was born in Linton, ND on June 28, 1953, son of Edmund & Isabel (Rohrich) Glass. Mark graduated from Bismarck High School, Wahpeton State School of Science & Bottineau School of Forestry. In 1978 Mark started Great Lines, Inc. – a parking lot maintenance company. One of his greatest passions was working with his family members especially his father Ed, brother Clyde, and sisters Sherri and Liz and servicing his long standing customers for 40 years. Mark was a simple man with a kind heart. He changed lives & will be remembered for the impact he had on his family, friends & community by his kindness, generosity & willingness to help others. He enjoyed the outdoors , his animals, hunting, and fishing. He had a great love for music, especially bluegrass & was a talented musician. Mark is survived by his beloved family, which includes mother Isabel of Bismarck. Two brothers; Kevin Glass (Jill Jaran) of Moneta, VA, Clyde Glass (Judy Rath) of Bismarck. Three sisters; Janet Keller (Sterling) of Bismarck, Sherri Glass of Mandan & Liz Glass of Bismarck. One Step-daughter Andi Gladson of Bismarck along with nieces; Jennifer, Lindsay, Jessica, Angela & nephew Andrew. He was preceded in death by his father in 2008. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marks’ many caring friends, including many loyal customers, CHI Hospice and Dakota Travel Nurses. Also a heartfelt Thank You to the John Hellandsaas family, Steve Baumgartner, Kevin Lee, Mike Johnson, Pat McNeely, Gene Storbacken, and Steve Giesinger and Sue Lee. A special thanks to Janet and Sterling Keller, Marks sister and brother in law for their insurmountable love, compassion and care for Mark during his illness. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Central Dakota Humane Society.
