Martha Schneider

Martha Schneider passed away on September 13, 2018, at the age of 102. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday September 17, 2018 at English Lutheran Church, 307 Prairie St, Tuttle, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Martha was born on August 25, 1916, to Andrew and Rose Trautman on a farm near Tuttle.  She married Joe Schneider on October 31, 1933 and they lived on the farm where their three children were born and raised. Joe died in August of 1963 and Martha remained on the farm with her son, until she was 95.   She enjoyed baking, cooking and most of all her garden, which she kept until she entered the nursing home in September 2011. Many people were gifted with the canned and preserved fruits of her labor. She instilled her passion for this, and her green thumb to several of her grandchildren. She was a diligent mentor in the kitchen and an amazing cook. Nothing tasted like grandmas.   Martha is survived by her three children, Betty Meuchel, Salem, OR, Frank Schneider, Tuttle, and Susan Wipperling (Wade), Spokane, WA; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her parents; four sisters; four brothers; one son-in-law; and one daughter-in-law, and twin infant great grandsons.
