Mary Heinert, 71, joined her heavenly Father on Jan. 16, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave., Bismarck.

Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck.

Mary was born on January 8, 1951, to Bernard and Margaret (Ditterick) Jones in Sidney, Montana.  Mary was the third of five children in their family and graduated from high school in Bismarck.  Soon thereafter, she married Richard (Rick) Heinert on April 16, 1970. Together, they founded their family in Bismarck where they raised their two children. Mary worked a variety of jobs and spent time supporting her husband and children.

Above all, Mary was a mother and grandmother and spread her love generously to the people surrounding her. She was proudest of her two greatest accomplishments, Jason and Stephanie. She adored her only grandchild, Carson. Mary enjoyed music, laughter, a game of cards, and time with loved ones. She had strong faith to the Lord and enjoyed reading inspirational devotions.

Surviving family includes: son, Jason (Veronica), Windsor, Colo.; daughter, Stephanie Svalen, Lowell, Mich.; grandson, Carson Svalen, Bismarck; sisters, Toni (Larry) Hieb, Phoenix, Ariz., and  Debbie (Tom) Clooten, Bismarck; and Greg (Anne) Jones, Bismarck.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
