Mary Jo Scott was born May 23, 1953, to Arthur “Bud” and Josephine “Jo” (Ulrich) Scott. She was raised in Underwood, ND. She married Ronnie Landenberger on December 29, 1973, and the couple lived in Mandan. Mary worked in the charitable gaming industry for over 30 years, most recently at O’Brian’s Tavern, where she made many good friends. Mary was a bright star that burned out way before her time. She was the tireless rock of our family. She was most herself at home with her family, flowers, and her beloved cats, whom will all miss her deeply. Her passion was to care for others first, which ranged from cooking to mending bruises from elbows to hearts. Mary is survived by her husband, Ronnie, Mandan; her children, Heidi Berg (Brock Berg), Bismarck, Bryn Landenberger, Mandan, and Nicole Landenberger (Fiance, Brock Holbert), Mandan; her grandchildren, Kyler Berg, Fargo, Lacey Berg, Bismarck, and Alexis Ritzman, Mandan; brothers, Patrick (Stephanie) Scott, Bismarck, Tim (Cindy) Scott, Bismarck, and Jim (Mary) Scott, Bismarck; sister, Sheila Maluski, Minot; her in-laws, Janice (Earl) Cottingham, Underwood, and Cindy (Kevin) Olson, Bismarck; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hilbert and Alta Landenberger; and her nephew, Stephen Repnow.
