Maxann Jaffe, 67, died Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.
Maxann was born April 16, 1953- in the place she was also raised- Memphis, TN. Her parents were Roy Wolf Jaffe and Hazel Aghilee Ragsdale. She was the oldest of her two siblings, David and Joe. After graduating from Longview High in Memphis, she attended Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She earned her degree with her main course of study being in the legal field.Music was a big part of her upbringing- she was a talented drummer, guitarist, and singer. Her musical abilities were broad and her love for music was constant. She was always encouraging her kids and grandkids to pursue music and never give up their God-given talents.
Maxann enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, chocolate, and had a love for flowers of all kinds. She was kindhearted, wise, unbelievably sarcastic, down to earth, and witty.
As her health issues progressed, Maxann required more attentive care. A special thank you to Liz Welder for the patience and care you gave during that time. Also, Gabriel and Zeke, we are grateful you made room in your homes for her, advocated when she could not, and cared for her when she needed it most.
She will be dearly missed by her six children, Yolanda (Kevin) Edmondson, Gabriel Norris, Zeke Norris, Nathaniel (Kate Vernon) Norris, Romulus (Erica Bonsness) Norris, and Grace (Travis) Bergan; her numerous grandchildren, whom she loved very much; and her extended family and friends.
