Maynard T. Fox

On Monday, March 25, 2019, Maynard T Fox Sr. went into the presence of our Lord.

Services will be held at 11:30 am Monday, April 1, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Sunday, March 31, at Parkway Funeral Service.

Maynard T Fox (Red Eagle) was born to Guy and Grace Fox on April 27, 1945 in Elbowoods, ND.

Maynard T Fox graduated from Mandaree High School; he then went on to pursue his education in automotive and mechanics at Hanson Trade School in Fargo, ND. Upon leaving Hanson’s Trade School, he began his work as a mechanic in Dickinson, ND with Dvorak motors.

In 1966, Maynard was drafted into the U.S. Army. He went to basic training at Fort Polk, LA where he was given the title of Sharp Shooter. He was then later stationed at Ft. Hood, TX.

In 1967, Maynard left for San Francisco and then was shipped to Vietnam. He served from 1967 to 1968 in Vietnam with the 512 Logistical command and had an honorable discharge.

After Vietnam, Maynard resided in Dallas, TX and worked as a mechanic in a body shop. He then moved back to FT. Berthold and opened his own vehicle painting business.

Maynard then chose a career in law enforcement. In that area he also worked as a juvenile officer and then an assistant prosecutor.

Maynard decided to continue his education and attended Fort Berthold Community College.

Milton Baker asked Maynard to come and work in maintenance at Indian Health Services. He received Employee of the Month for his work. He then retired out of the Indian Health Services.

His hobbies were fishing, traditional dancing, hunting, and looking for Big Foot and aliens.

Maynard is survived by: his wife, Holly Fox; children: Alexia Yvette Fox, Asa Gye Fox, Maynard Thomas Fox Jr. of Bismarck, Sheldon “Corey” Fox, Four Bears, ND, Jacqueline Shannon Fox, Four Bears, ND, Melissa Twila Fox, Four Bears, ND, Miranda Tracy Fox, Four Bears, ND, and Karolyn Grace Fox, Four Bears, ND; siblings, Wanda Sheppherd, Mandaree, ND, Angus (Ira) Fox, New Town, ND, Dennis (Sandra) Fox Albuquerque, NM, Belinda Beston, Mandaree, ND, CA Wolf Eyes, Mandan, ND, Arla-Jean (Don) Muzzy, Mandaree, ND, Theola Fox, Mandaree, ND; also survived by his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Grace Fox; siblings, Guy Fox (Magpie), Thornton Fox, Esley Thornton, Theresa Ann Fox, Gerald “Tex” Fox, Dean Peter Fox, and Anthony “Rex” Fox.
