Michael "Mike" Richard Kennedy

Michael Richard Kennedy, 69, Bismarck, peacefully passed away June 1, 2018, in Bismarck, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 5, at Church of St. Anne, 1321 Braman Ave., Bismarck, with Rev. Wayne Sattler officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday, June 4 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with a Masonic service at 7:00 pm. Mike was born May 29, 1949, in Saint Paul, MN. He served in the Army from 1967 to 1969 and was stationed in Korea. Mike married Lynnette McMullen April 24, 1971, and had two children, Mark and Meghan. Mike moved his family to Bismarck in 1979 and founded Capital Scale Company. Being a true Irishman, he always had a joke to tell and a smile to share.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and treasured time he spent with his three grandchildren. He was a Mason, Shriner, a member of the Dusters, life member in the VFW and member of the Elks Mike is survived by his wife, Lynnette; son, Mark; daughter, Meghan Will and her husband Travis, along with their three sons, Braden, Tristan and Holden Will; as well as his siblings, Mary Anne Sullivan (Tom), Pat (Kathy), Joe (Jaclyn), Monica, Margaret Vorpagel (Bruce), and Tom (Janice); mother-in-law, Esther McMullen; and brother-in-law, Max McMullen (Jan). He was proceded in death by his parents, Mary Francis and Richard J Kennedy; his brothers, John, Jim, and Bill; sister, Mary Beth; and father-in-law, Max McMullen.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials go to the Scottish Rite Speech Center.
