Mike Nitsch, 53, Bismarck, passed away on August 28, 2022 of complications from colon cancer treatment.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, September 2, 2022, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 1143 N 26th St, Bismarck.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
Mike was born on January 2, 1969 to Paul and Karen Nitsch in Minot. He attended catholic schools, graduating from Bishop Ryan High School in 1987. He then went on to graduate from NDSCS Wahpeton with a degree in Industrial Electrical Technology.
He loved being an electrician, working for over thirty years in the field. He worked at Western Edge Electric in Bismarck for the past ten years, forming close relationships with both coworkers and industry friends.
Mike married Lori Stebleton in 1993 and together they raised two children, Jordan and Becca. Mike loved spending time with his family, whether it was grilling a feast out on the deck, helping us with car issues, going out on the boat, spoiling his dog Daisy, meeting extended family in Riverdale for supper or even just making sure we all heard his latest dad joke. Above all else, he loved helping people.
Mike is survived by wife Lori; children, Jordan (Maggie) and Becca; parents, Paul and Karen; grandmother, Elaine Bjornson; brother, Steve (Sarah); nieces, Samara and Sophia and many aunts, uncles and cousins that he stayed very close with.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Tony and Ann Nitsch; Roy Bjornson; father-in-law, Warren Stebleton; mother-in-law, Ellen Schultz and aunt, Dara Meddock.
