Millie was born on September 18, 1940 to Ted and Lydia Lennick. She grew up on the farm and attended country school. At the age of 18, she made her home in Beulah, ND. This is where she met “My Johnny”, which was her endearing name for her husband. They married September 27, 1969 in Beulah. On November 20, 1971 they were blessed with a son, “Monte”, their joy. Millie’s job now was to raise her little boy into a wonderful young man.
Millie started working for Bismarck Public Schools when Monte started school. She needed to be near him because of his diabetes. She also worked at Sweetheart bakery part-time. Shortly after Monte’s death she retired. John and Millie were able to share some wonderful trips, making memories, eating out, and sharing their faith. Her faith was so important to her.
Millie leaves behind her brother, Melvin (Les) Lennick; sister, Buffy Ustanko; sister-in-law, Lynette Lennick; brother-in-law, Wilbert Opp, who remained a big part of her family; sister-in-law, Emma Holzer; and many nieces, nephews, close friends, and her kitty, Abby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Monte; sister, Eleanor Opp; brother, Herb Lennick; brother-in-law, Jim Ustanko; parents, Ted and Lydia Lennick; and a niece, Patti Lynn Opp.
Dear Millie, our hearts are broken in two, one half leaves us with loss and overwhelming grief of having to lose you too soon—the other half is rejoicing and praising God that you are reunited with Monte and John. You have your family again.
We love and miss you so. Godspeed dear sister.
