Pamela Kaye (Skar) Bjerke, 62, Bismarck, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 6, 2018, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon Monday, September 10, at Church of St. Mary, 800 E. Broadway Ave., Bismarck, with Rev. Jared Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Sunday, September 9, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, where a vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck. Pamela was born to Albert and Darlene (Martin) Skar on February 3, 1956. She was raised in Harwood, ND, attended school in West Fargo, ND, and graduated in 1974. Pamela found her true life partner, Daniel Jon Bjerke, and they were married on March 20, 1976. Together they raised their daughters in Bismarck. Pamela loved spending time at the lake fishing and relaxing. She loved going on mini vacations with her family and hanging out with her grandkids. Pam enjoyed playing bingo, hence her nickname, “Bingo Bjerke,” watching the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, and of course, we can’t forget her beloved Green Bay Packers. Pam had a funny sense of humor and always had a “goofy” or “smart aleck” come-back for everything. Pamela is survived by her husband, Daniel Bjerke, Bismarck; her daughter, Darlee (Troy) Sackhoff, Bismarck; her mother, Darlene Skar, Fargo; sister, Karen (Don) Nelson, Lake Park, MN; brother, Steven Skar, Fargo; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, and Brenden Avard, Jerhyn Barber, and Sage Henderson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Danine Bjerke Henderson; father, Albert Skar; brother, Albert “Sonny” Skar; nephew, Jake Skar; paternal grandparents, Albert and Rose Skar; and her maternal grandparents, Marie and Ted Martin.
