Pamela Jean Doerr, 66, Bismarck, passed away after a battle with cancer on November 2, 2023 surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Pam will be interned with her parents at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
Pam was born in Bismarck on Feb. 7, 1957, to Emil and Irene (Werner) Doerr. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1975. Pam worked various customer service jobs prior to beginning a career at Dakota Eye Institute, retiring after 22 years.
Pam was known as “Nan” to her family. She spent countless days loving and nurturing her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with her family.
Pam loved all types of music, especially anything from IL Divo. She would always say “crank it” if a good tune came on the radio. Two of her favorites were “La Vie en Rose” and “Al Di Là.”
Pam treasured her friends and their many trips and wild adventures. Their bond was of utmost importance and she truly cherished those memories. Pam had an elegant sense of style. She had a flair for life and lived life to the fullest. She touched the lives of those around her and she will be fondly remembered.
Pam was deeply grateful for the love and care she received from her family and healthcare professionals during her journey.
Pam is survived by her siblings, Cheryl (Don) Hellman, Colette (Ken) Wieland, Doug (Rosie) Doerr, Danita (Keith) Hunke, and Kathleen Stadel; 12 nieces & nephews; and eight great-nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her nephew, Christopher Hellman.
In the hearts of those who love you, you will always be there.
