Pamela “Pam” Mae Zimprich, 70, Florence, AZ was unexpectedly called home on January 9, 2025, with her husband Jerry by her side.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00pm, January 24 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, January 25 at McCabe United Methodist Church, 1030 N 6th St. Bismarck, ND.

Pam was born May 19, 1954 in Hazen, ND to Alvin & Bernice (Voegele) Sailer. Pam grew up in Bismarck, attending Northridge Elementary and Hughes Junior High. She graduated from Bismarck High in 1972. She attended college at NDSU graduating in 1976 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music.
In 1979, Pam married the love of her life Jerry Zimprich, and they were blessed to have spent 45 active years together. They were blessed with two amazing children, Amanda and Jonathan.
Upon graduation from NDSU, Pam immediately received a teaching contract with Bismarck Public Schools and taught in the Music Department for 36 years. She touched the lives of many colleagues and thousands of students. From general music to orchestra to Strolling Strings; music was always a huge part of Pam’s life. She also taught piano lessons and loved her time as an accompanist and church organist.
Pam and Jerry stayed active while raising their kids, attending any and all sporting events, chorus performances, and cub scout events. After Pam retired in 2013, they both enjoyed working at the Dakota Zoo. Pam and Jerry moved to Florida in 2016 to enjoy the sunshine and be close to Disney! In 2020 they moved to Arizona to be closer to Amanda & her grandkids.
Pam loved her retirement communities and spent many hours playing MahJong, Mexican Train, and many other games with new friends in Florida and Arizona. She also joined the community’s choir in Arizona. Planes, trains, automobiles, buses, boats and even dog sleds. Pam & Jerry were always on the move, making it to all 50 states throughout their journeys. Many summers were spent traveling back up to North Dakota, by way of Denver, with a yearly stop in South Dakota to meet family and friends for bike rides along the Mickelson Trail (and gaming in Deadwood). In 2024 Pam and Jerry, along with Jerry’s sister Sandy, took a bucket list trip to Hawaii. From cross-country road trips with the kids, to cruises to Alaska and the Panama Canal, and of course all things Disney, Pam and Jerry were always ready for their next adventure.
Pam is survived by her loving husband Jerry; brother Kevin Sailer (Cheryl); children, Amanda Beth and Jonathan Walen (Katie); grandchild Edward; and 2 bonus grandkids Brianna & James.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Bernice (Voegele) Sailer.
