Patty Ann Mazigian

July 12, 1963 — June 14, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that the family shares the passing of Patty Ann Mazigian, 60, Bismarck, on Friday, June 14, 2024.

As we gather to celebrate Patty's life, a memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. Following the service, Patty will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Patty was born on July 12, 1963, in Minot, North Dakota, to Phillip and Janice Heilman. Being the oldest of four children, caring and guiding her siblings through life came naturally for her. This was the start to Patty's life being woven with love, laughter, and dedication to family.

As a graduate of Minot High School in 1982, Patty's zest for life was evident from an early age. She was known for her love of driving her Purple Gremlin Car, equipped with a V8 motor, a symbol of her fierce independence and ability to break stereotypes.

Patty's nurturing spirit shone through as she became a mother to Jesse in 1986, and later to Robin in 1989, sharing her love and life lessons with her children.

Throughout her life, Patty embraced various roles, each one reflecting her creativity and dedication. From her days at Soaring Eagle Outfitters in Minot to her culinary adventures at Jakes Spice and Spirit in Minot, The Donut Hole and Red Lobster in Bismarck, Patty's work ethic and dedication were strong. She enjoyed a 27-year career at Red Lobster. It was at Red Lobster where she met and married the love of her life, Paul Mazigian. The two were united in marriage in 2007 at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck.

A gifted seamstress and quilter, Patty's hands brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her. She enjoyed making quilts for her grandchildren. Paul and Patty enjoyed spending time together and finding joy in photography.

Her laughter, appreciation for 80's music, and distinct love for stick shift cars will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She also enjoyed walking in all four seasons that North Dakota offered. Rain or shine - Patty walked to work for two years straight just because she could!

Her legacy of hard work, compassion, and dedication to family will forever be cherished by her husband, Paul, Bismarck; parents, Phillip and Janice Heilman, Minot; son, Jesse (Brittany) Kerzman and their children, Cora, Thatcher, Judah and Titus, all of Bismarck; daughter, Robin (Patrick) Lesnar, and their daughter, Elena, all of Ipswich, SD; step-son, Joel Mazigian, Kutztown, PA; siblings, Paula (Robert) Reed, Placentia, CA, P.J. Heilman, Pierce, CO and Kevin (Tonya) Heilman, Minot; brothers-in-law, Roy (Barb) Mazigian, Rick Mazigian and David Mazigian; sister-in-law, Pam (David) Colby and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Roy and Doris Mazigian and brother-in-law, Danny Mazigian.
