Paul Iver Knaak, 66, Bismarck passed peacefully from this life on July 19, 2019, after a gradual decline in health.
Cremation has taken place and a private service for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
Paul was born in Bismarck on April 20, 1953 to Edie and Gordon Knaak. After graduating from Bismarck High School, Paul completed his education at Concordia College where he was a music major. Paul proudly became a North Dakota Highway Patrolman in 1978, where he received numerous commendations and calls of thanks from those he assisted. Paul retired from the Patrol in 2005. Law enforcement is grueling work, and hard on those with tender hearts such as Paul. He loved to cook for and take care of the people in his life. We will miss his generous and loving heart.
Paul is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Bob Peske; his two nephews and their families, Rob, Nicole, Ben, Evan, and Emily Peske and Tim, Beth, and Piper Edith Peske. Paul is also survived by dear friends who were family to him, Don and Constance Keller.
Rest in Peace, Paul. We all love and miss you.
