Pearlene Agnes Dockter, 92, Bismarck, passed away on May 31, 2024 at the Baptist Nursing Home.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Cremation has taken place.
A private family burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Pearlene was born June 2, 1931, to Theodore and Emma Werner. In 1947, she married Alfred Dockter and together had six children.
In 1954, Pearlene and her husband purchased a farm south of Goodrich where they worked together and raised their six children until 1989.
In the late 80’s, Pearlene’s kuchen recipe was selected as the top kuchen recipe by the Germans from Russia Society.
In 1989-1991 Pearlene and her husband owned and operated Grandma’s Café in Goodrich.
She loved putting puzzles together, knitting, crocheting, baking, embroidering and teaching her grandchildren how to make German dishes.
Pearlene is survived by her children, Randy (Debbie) Dockter, ND; Debbie Lauer, AZ; Daryl Dockter, ND; Dean (Tammy) Dockter, NV; and DeLaine (Mike) Forth, MT; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother; sister; daughter; daughter-in-law; and three grandchildren.
