Peter J. Nagel, 94, Bismarck, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2024.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Monday, June 24, at Corpus Christi Church. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 PM.
Burial will be held at 1:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Peter J. Nagel was born October 18, 1929, in Emmons Co., in Linton, N.D., to Joseph and Carolina (Zacher) Nagel. He was raised and educated near Linton and graduated from Strasburg High School in 1947. Pete attended college at Ellendale Normal and Industrial School and taught rural school for four years. He served in the Army from 1951 until 1953, and returned to North Dakota where he lived in Bismarck. Pete was employed with North Dakota Job Service for 32 years and retired in 1986.
Pete married Armelia “Millie” Ibach on October 15, 1953, in Rosenthal, N.D. They enjoyed dancing and playing cards, camping and fishing, and spent a lot of pleasurable time traveling. They were members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, and Pete belonged to Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Eagles and was a charter member and past president of the Dakota Sunrise Chapter of the Good Samaritan Camping Club.
Pete is survived by his wife, Armelia “Millie” , of Bismarck; sons, Gerald Nagel, of Fargo, and Richard Nagel, of Bismarck, ND; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Allen Stroh, of Bismarck, and Rhonda and John Fracassi, TX.; grandson, Nathan (Samantha) Stroh; granddaughters, Mandy (Jayse) Schwan, Mikayla Fracassi, Kaitlin (Lane) Rutherford and Anne Fracassi; great grandchildren, Rhyan and Bryar Schwan, Bismarck and Kinsley Rutherford, Texas; sister, Delores Blakeway, of Fargo, ND; brother, Joe and Sandra Nagel, of Thornton, CO; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sebald, Elias and Gilbert; an infant brother, Lawrence; and an infant sister, Magdalina.
