Phyllis Kindsvogel

Phyllis Kindsvogel, 93, Bismarck passed away on Dec. 24, 2020 at the Baptist Health Care Center, Bismarck. Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one-hour prior at the church. A service livestream will be available on the church’s website: www.trinitybismarck.com.

Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Phyllis was born on Sept. 17, 1927 to Jacob and Eva Dinius on a farm south of Richardton.

On Nov. 11, 1949 she married Ned Kindsvogel in Hebron.

She worked at Morrey Alans in downtown Bismarck for 27 years and many years at Dakota Awards in Bismarck.

Phyllis was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck, where she was a very active member. She was also very active several Veterans Auxilaries.

She was 42-year bowling veteran.  Phyllis found her love for bowling as a child while working as a pin setter at a bowling alley in Hebron. She was inducted into the Bismarck-Mandan Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1992. In 1995 she was inducted into the North Dakota Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame.

She is survived by her brother, Victor Dinius; along with numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned; her parents; sister, Jenny Little; brothers, Frank Dinius, John Dinius, Raymond Dinius and Russel Dinius.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be submitted to the Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
