Ralph Orville Boyer, formally of New Leipzig and Elgin, ND, passed away on March 20, 2024 with his family by his side at Missouri Slope Care Center in Bismarck. Cremation has taken place.

Burial will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Ralph was born on November 6, 1933 to Albert and Evelyn (Hurtley) Boyer in New Leipzig. He grew up on the family farm and attended grade school at Pretty Rock School and Elgin High School. He graduated in 1952. Ralph joined the Navy in 1953 and served four years stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina. He also served eight years in the National Guard.
He was united in marriage to Ruth (Dorrheim) Boyer on September 18, 1955. They have three daughters, Yvonne Tagney, Apache Junction, AZ, Jodi (Rod) Hoffman, Bismarck and Carrie (Russ) Schneider, Bismarck; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Ralph worked for MDU and North American Cole as a draftsman. In 1988, they moved to Minneapolis where he worked for Lifetouch Studios.
He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle Martin; siblings, Willard, Donald, Kenneth, Fern, Lucille and great-great granddaughter, Ava Ktytor.
