Ralph Fisk, was born March 8, 1930, in Ray, North Dakota to Leo and Lettie (Mathisen) Fisk. Ralph grew up in Ray, ND. He entered the Navy in 1948. After 20 years of service he retired as a Senior Chief. When he retired, he went to college and graduated with Honors from Minot State University. He later worked for the Boys Scouts of America and at the State Industrial School (Youth Correctional Center) as a Teacher.
On September 21, 1951 Ralph married the love of his life, Alice (Howen) Fisk. They spent over 68 happy years together raising 6 children. Vacations usually meant driving from where Ralph was stationed to Williston, ND to visit relatives. The six children have many fond memories of traveling across the country in a station wagon (think small mini-van).
During his spare time he enjoyed camping, woodworking, square dancing, and working crossword puzzles. Ralph was also a member of the Kiwanis club, Barber Shop singing group, Williston Community Theater, and the Sam’s Club camping group.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Alice, and children Deborah (John) Tweeten, Barbara King, Paul (Jennifer) Fisk, Ralph (Gail) Fisk, Edie (Bob) Markhouse, 18 Grand children and 18 Great Grand children, his brother Dean (Iris) Fisk and sister Leona Hanson.
Ralph was preceded in passing by his parents and son David.
Ralph’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent's for the wonderful care they provided.
