Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Golva, ND.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Golva, ND.
Ray was born on August 21, 1939 in Burns, Oregon the first son of Raymond (Bud) Clouse and Alice Schwartz. Ray graduated from Golva High school in 1958 and entered the United States Marine Corps stationed in California.
In 1960, Ray married his high school sweetheart Joanne Schmitz. He and Joan had four children: Dean (Minnesota), Keith (Texas), Cyndee (Texas) and Melanie (Kansas).
After Joan’s death in 1987, Ray married Judy Noll Brown in 1988.
Ray retired as CEO from North Central Data Cooperative in 1993 and returned to ranching in Golden Valley. In retirement, Ray served on the Little Missouri Grazing Board, the North Dakota Grazing Association, the Little Missouri River Commission, Goldenwest Electric Coop, the Upper Missouri Power Cooperative and the Golden Valley Manor Board.
During his lifetime, Ray loved horseback riding and playing cards. The last couple of years he had a fondness for cats.
He is survived by his spouse Judy, his brother Joe Clouse, his children Dean (Deb) Clouse, Keith (Jami) Clouse, Cyndee Clouse, and Melanie (Alex) Bach, his step children Kevin (Laurie) Brown, Brenda Willette, and Barb Lechler, his grandchildren Heather Clouse, Nicole (Jason) Wehrey, Ben Bach, Jesse Clouse, Jackson Clouse, Hunter Bach, Jed Clouse, Landon Lechler, Lateasha Lechler, and great grandchildren Chloe, Arianna, & Levi Wehrey.
