Raymond C. Larson, 95, Bismarck, died January 1, 2018, at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, January 5, at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N. 2nd St., Bismarck, with Rev. Paul Becker officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Family will greet visitors starting at 5:00 pm Thursday, January 4, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 6:00 pm. Raymond Carrol Larson was born September 11, 1922, in Southam, ND, the son of Carl Arthur and Martha (Wickum) Larson. When his mother passed away in 1929, the family moved to Pennsylvania where he graduated from high school in 1941. Raymond entered the Army and was attached to the 9th Air Force, and served in the European Theater from 1942 – 1945. He returned to Devils Lake after his military service and worked in the trucking industry for 39 years; his last employment was with Mid-West Motors. Raymond married Ann Bachmeier in 1950 and the couple had five children, Ronald, Wayne, Shirley, Steven, and Charles. The couple lived in Devils Lake for 44 years and moved to Bismarck in 1989. Raymond loved golfing, fishing, hunting, and gardening, but most of all his family. Raymond is survived by his wife, Ann; his children, Ronald (June) Larson, Wayne (Mary) Larson, Shirley (Steve) Johs, and Steven (Luann) Larson; 14 grandchildren, Brandie Ness, Kevin Larson, Nathan Larson, Ming, Michael Larson, Ryan Larson, Dustin Larson, Keith Larson, Miranda Stanley, Derek Olson, Layne Johs, Kathryn Larson, David Larson and Andrea Larson; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Richard Larson; his sisters, Lillian and Margaret; and his brothers, Leonard and Vergil.
