Raymond Vetter

November 3, 1942 — December 16, 2019

Raymond Vetter, 77, passed away December 17, 2019, at CHI St. Alexius Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, December 23, 2019, at Parkway Funeral Home 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, ND, with Rev. Brandon Vetter officiating.  Interment will be at the North D Veterans Cemetery.

Raymond was born November 3, 1942, to John and Magelena (Volk) Vetter in Flasher, ND. Ray joined the Army in April 1961. Ray received is G.E.D. in 1964 while serving his country. After the army, he moved to Indiana and worked at the steel mills for 15 years in the electrical maintenance department. Ray then moved back home to ND and resided in Mandan. He was employed at Mary College in the electrical maintenance department for 25 years.

During his time off, Ray loved to bowl and fish. He loved hanging around with his crazy brothers and taking care of his mother.

Ray is survived by his mother, Magdalene Vetter, 94; three sisters Diane, TX, Dorinda (Leonard) Bjerklie, Hettinger, and Debra, KS; five brothers Eugene (Nancy), MO, Roger (Sandy), Mandan, Joseph (Kathy) IN, Edwin, Bismarck, and Sherman (Julie) Bismarck; three daughters Natalie Vetter (Vessels), Deandra Vetter, and Lanette all of KY; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Ray is preceded in death by his father John Vetter; sister Lavonne (George) Perdew; and two brothers Urban and Stanley Vetter.
