Regina Schreiner

Regina “Jane” Schreiner, 78, Bismarck, passed away July 23, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 28, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck.Family will greet guests one hour prior to the service at Eastgate Funeral Service. Cremation has taken place.Regina was born on April 11, 1939, in Kintyre, ND, the daughter of Valentine and Clara (Hilzendeger) Schmidt. She married Herman Schreiner on October 21, 1957, and to this union five children were born. They farmed in Strasburg until Herman’s passing in 1966. Regina and the kids moved to Bismarck where she graduated from commercial college. She retired from Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center after 24 years of service. Until her passing, she found enjoyment working at the Hodge Podge.Regina loved to play pinochle and bingo. She enjoyed music and dancing and was a great cook. Regina always found the good in people and always put others before herself. She was a fun person to be around, always giving and loving. Her hard work and dedication showed in everything she did. She was a great friend to many and loved by all.  Regina is survived by her children, Renee (Jerry) Miller, Greg, Rhonda, Patty (Tony) Tarpy, and Troy (Julie); eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her sisters, Frances Kelsch, Barbara Kyser, and Delores Lipp; and her brothers, Anthony and James Schmidt.She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; her sisters, Lorraine Werner and Eva Vella; and her brother, Vincent Schmidt.
