Richie was born on Mother’s Day, May 11, 1971, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Richard Jr. and Joyce (Weiland) Hamilton. Richie grew up and attended school at Clearfork in Bellville, Ohio.   Richie met the love of his life, Julie Holden, while working together in a factory. The two of them were married at Ashland (Ohio) Assembly of God on May 22, 1992. Together they were blessed with four children: Shalyn, Sean, Jessica, and Joshua. Richie was an incredibly loving husband and dedicated father - a hero to his children. Richie moved his family to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1997 in order to enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather.   5 years ago, being closer to family (not the weather), called the Hamilton’s to Bismarck where Richie worked in management for Sam’s and Walmart where he touched an endless amount of lives. Growing up, Richie loved sports. He grew up playing baseball, football and tennis. He was a fantastic bowler and most recently, really enjoyed playing golf.   He was passionate about the Dallas Cowboys and also loved cheering on the Cleveland Indians and the Carolina Hurricanes. Richie is survived by his wife, Julie, and four children, Shalyn, Sean, Jessica and Joshua, Bismarck, ND; his sister, Sheri Hamilton, Mansfield, OH; his brother, Stephan “Steve” and his wife Heather, Lexington, OH; his parents, Richard Jr and Joyce Hamilton, Mansfield, OH; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many within the Sam’s/Walmart family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Betty Hamilton; his maternal grandparents, Herman and Mary Weiland; his aunt, Sherry Hamilton; and other relatives.
