Richard Weinberger

Richard Allen Weinberger, 62, of Bismarck, ND, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Private family services will be held. 

Richard was born on October 18, 1961, in Bismarck, ND to Richard and Judy Weinberger. He was raised and attended school in Bismarck. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1979.

Richard married Emely in October of 2011. Together they enjoyed traveling to Mexico and the Philippines, raising their dogs, and cruising in his Mustang GT 5.0.

Richard was a loving husband, father, grand-father, brother, and friend. He was fiercely loyal to those he cared for and would be there to help in the drop of a hat when called upon. He loved to spend time gardening, taking pride in having the best flowers and biggest vegetables in the neighborhood. He also took pride in his beloved Mustang GT 5.0, always searching for better parts and making sure it was spotless. He enjoyed being outdoors and often spent many days fishing and hunting in his younger years. In later years, although he still enjoyed a day’s fishing trip, he settled for sitting outside by the firepit, roasting marshmallows, and drinking a coke with his family.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Emely Weinberger; daughter, Abigayle Weinberger and her fiance, Noah Galloway; son, Bern Kais; grand-children, Zyreen Kais and   Zach-Christian Kais; father, Richard Weinberger; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Leonardo; sisters, Brenda Weinberger and Lorrie Westermeyer; niece, Judy L Zins and her husband Jared Zins; nephews, Brad Lundin and Nick Westermeyer; dog, Ollie; and many other friends and family.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Weinberger; daughter, Courtney Weinberger; and father-in-law, Ernesto Leonardo.
