Robert “Bob” Burns Robidou, 89, Bismarck, went to heaven to be with his wife, Wilma, on Dec. 31, 2020. He was living at Valley View Heights Assisted Living in Bismarck since April 4, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.
Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
Robert was born on Dec. 20, 1931, the son of James and Mildred (Crawford) Robidou. He grew up on a farm 10 miles south of Bismarck and resided there until 1973. Bob was a member of the National Guard for a three-year hitch from 1952 until 1955.
On Oct. 26, 1957, Bob married Wilma Diehl and the two spent 61 years together until Wilma’s passing on Jan. 27, 2019. Together Bob and Wilma bought a farm north of Wishek. Their whole life was farming. After their retirement, they moved to Wishek for a couple years before moving to Bismarck.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Pam (Greg) Anderson, Bismarck; Wilma’s daughter, Connie (Dennis) Miller, Mandan; grandchildren, Eric (Madie Fisher) Anderson, Nicole Anderson, both of Bismarck, and Emily Miller, Mandan; great-grandchildren, Mikah Anderson, Ethan and Evan Rouse, Rylan Jochim and Ellie and Georgia Anderson; brother, Jerome (Meta) Robidou, Kalispell, Mont.; sisters-in-law, Viola Schock, Mandan, Beverly Diehl, Carson, and Margie Diehl, Bismarck; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilma; parents, James and Mildred; sisters, Vidette Freier, Donna Jean Dimond and Kathleen Robidou; parents-in-law, Calvin and Carolyn Diehl; brothers-in-law, Ervin Diehl, Melvin Diehl and Roland Schock.
