Robert Dean Olson, 68, Bismarck, died October 18, 2017. Robert was born on January 6, 1949, to Clarence and Faye (Woolsey) Olson. He was raised and attended school in Steele, ND. He received his GED in 1985. Robert loved sports, especially football and baseball, and was so proud of his great nephew, Tyler Olson, who plays for the Cleveland Indians. Robert enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He loved helping his family and friends, or anyone who needed help. He was especially kind to his mother and spent many weekends with her in Steele playing his Mom’s favorite marble game, WaHoo, which she used to win most of the time. Robert is survived by his two brothers, Daryel (MaryJo), Goldendale, WA, and Kenneth (Linda), Steele; three sisters, Florence Mack, Bismarck, Sharon Bemis, Fargo, and Judy (Michael) Laib, Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; his mother, Faye; and his brothers, Bernard and Clarence Jr.
