Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Thursday, September 20, at the church, with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 pm. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Steele. Robin was born in Bismarck, ND, on May 29, 1981, to Dwight and Jinny Barth. She attended grade school, junior high and high school in Bismarck graduating from Century High School. She went on to attend the University of Mary receiving her degree in Business Administration. At an early age, she was involved in many different sports starting with ice skating at the age of five, swimming, golf, and basketball. She started skiing at a young age and enjoyed the many family ski trips to Terry Peak, SD, Big Sky, Colorado and Red Lodge, MT. Growing up, Robin made many memories with all of her cousins. Later in life, some of those cousins became very good friends. She also liked hanging out with her brother Justin (believe it or not). One time she tried to keep up with him snowboarding which lead to a broken arm. Robin met her future husband Josh in Red Lodge, MT, skiing with friends. Upon returning from the trip she called Josh and asked to wax his skis for him and from there their relationship grew. Josh proposed to Robin in the Killdeer mountains on their annual Badlands Labor Day trail ride. They were married on June 21, 2003, in Bismarck, ND, and moved to their farm home near Steele, ND. Josh and Robin were blessed with their son Jacob in 2006 and their daughter Jade in 2007. Robin currently worked at the Kidder County State’s Attorney Office in Steele, ND, as an administrative assistant and enjoyed her many co-workers. Robin’s love of people and heart of service kept her involved in serving on the Kidder County Ambulance and board, the Steele Swimming Pool Board, Kidder County 4-H Hippology team, Badlands Trail Riders, church secretary, elementary basketball coach and helping with Sunday School. Robin loved transporting kids to and from activities (didn’t even have to be her own kids). Robin was a social butterfly and loved meeting new people. She took it upon herself to be the local welcoming committee for anyone new in town. Robin was always looking for a reason to host a gathering at her house and shop. Robin loved shopping (basically Amazon). Robin loved her hoodies and flip flops. She loved planning trips, traveling, skiing, beaches, baking, horse riding, camping, making jokes, music, and selfies (always trying to be the favorite aunt). A city girl turned country, she loved horses, cows, her dogs Macie and Mea, and the new family pet Darla, the goat. She had a generous heart and gave her horse to her niece Elayna. Robin’s most precious time was spent with Josh, Jacob and Jade. She loved being a wife and mother. She cherished special outings with her Mom. She loved spoiling her nieces and nephews with candy and other junk food without their parent’s permission. She fought a mighty fight to spend as much time as she could with those she loved. Robin embraced the cross of Jesus and clung to the hope of salvation that one day she would be in the arms of her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her loving husband Josh, her children Jacob and Jade; parents Dwight and Jinny Barth, Bismarck; brother Justin (Beth) Barth, Shakopee, MN, their children Ellie and Addison; her in-laws John and Laura Shipley, Steele; sister in-law Jonni (Clint) Kramlich, Tappen, their children Elayna, Alea, and Cord; her brothers in-law, Caleb (Sara) Shipley, Red Wing, MN, and their children Jack, Jesse, Jason, Mabel, Millie and Judah, Isaac (Teri) Shipley, Lincoln, ND, and their daughter Miyah; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
