Roger J. Klein of Bismarck, 76, died Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Sanford Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, with a fellowship to follow at the Mandan Eagles Club located at 1400 Collins Ave. The burial and fellowship will be only for the family and close friends of Roger J. Klein.
Roger J. Klein was born in Linton, ND, on August 26, 1942 to Joseph and Anna Mary (Senger) Klein. He attended school in Linton and Beulah, ND and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the City of Bismarck for thirty-seven years.
Roger married Patricia Dworshak on August 31, 1970. Roger was a remarkable man and he loved to visit with his family and friends. If you started a conversation with him, you better take a seat, it was going to be awhile. He was never in a hurry! He worked hard his entire life and always had time to lend an extra hand to anyone who needed it. He was a great husband, father, and brother and a terrific grandfather.
Roger is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia of Bismarck, his daughter, Crystal Teetz of Fargo, his beloved grandchildren, Brittany Teetz, Garrett Noon and Johnathan Noon, all of Wilton, His brothers; Al (Vicki) Klein of Beulah; Wesley (Janie) Klein of Adams, TN; Kenny (Michele) Klein of Beulah and Larry (Bonnie) Klein of Green River, WY. His sisters, Frances Forderer of Bismarck, Angie Zimmerman of Cheyenne, WY; Sallie Fryda of Menomonee Falls, WI; MaryAnn Kjorstad of Williston, Lois Smith of Whitefish, MT; Donna Weigum of Zap and Debbie (Kent) Sanborn of Bartlesville, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
