In Loving Memory of Ronnie “Ron” Lee Starck.
Ronnie “Ron” Starck, Bismarck, unexpectedly passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 69, and went to his heavenly home with Jesus by his side.
The visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 11th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.
Ron and his twin brother Rickie Lynn were born to Grace Johnson Starck and Grant Starck on May 24, 1954 in Fargo. Ron married the love of his life, Denise Heber, 31 years ago in Las Vegas, NV, and he was truly her beloved husband. Nothing was more precious to him than his wife Denise.
Ron was educated in Bismarck Public Schools and then attended Bismarck Junior College where he studied Commercial Art. He later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems at the University of Mary.
Ron was a multi-talented artist using many forms of media. He had his own little gallery of caricatures that he created of retired employees during his employment with the Bismarck School System. He was an accomplished musician as a bassist and vocalist in several local bands including Axis, Diamond Jack, The Hotz, Me ‘N the Boys and Zu Zu. He worked at Bismarck State College National Energy Center of Excellence for many years as a Rich Media Developer creating online content for student courses in the Energy Department. He retired from his position at BSC.
Ron loved all animals. He loved the family cats that he grew up with, and after marrying Denise, they had three Maltese pups, Mollie Bea III, Fibber McGee, and Monet Bublé.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Denise; brothers, Rick and Curtis Starck; sister, Susan Starck; mother-in-law, Luella Heber; sister-in-law, Cindy (Bryan) Dvirnak; brother-in-law, Pastor Jeffrey (Mischelle) Heber; nephew, Ricky (Patricia) Starck; nieces, Anya Dvirnak, Cassandra (Caleb) Rodgers, Carissa (Michael) Hatfield, and Avonna Starck and several precious great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Starck, his father, Grant Starck; grandparents, Emil and Elna Johnson and Nathaniel and Alice Starck; his father-in-law, Paul Heber and his nephew, Brett Dvirnak.
Although Ron's sudden departure has left a void in our hearts, his spirit and the memories we shared will forever remain with us. Ron is now where he longed to be, with his Heavenly Father resting in eternal peace.
Blessed be the memory of Ron Starck.
