Ronald Lee Wilkie Sr., 66, Bismarck, formally of Belcourt, passed away on Dec. 22, 2020 at St. Alexius Hospital, Bismarck.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29 with a rosary beginning 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck. Burial will be held at at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Casket Bearers: Tristin Wilkie, Ronald Wilkie III, Brett Crissler, Gage Wilkie, Tearin Doll, Mike Wilkie, Chad Jeanotte and Jesse Wilkie; Readers Justice Wilkie, Summer Counts and MiKayla Gunther; Eulogy by Whitney Bercier.

Ron was born on Dec. 30, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Fred and Rose (Lilley) Wilkie. Ron was the fifth oldest of nine children. He attended Houle School and the Turtle Mountain School. He then joined the US Army on Feb. 16, 1971 and was honorably discharged on March 9, 1973.

Ron was married to Jeanie Jeanotte and together they had two children, Sandra Wilkie DeCoteau and Ronald Lee (Carla) Wilkie Jr. He later married Cheryl Dauphinais on Dec. 2, 1979 and together had seven children, Arthur (Jennifer) Crissler, Michelle (Dean) Azure, Lee Wilkie, Ronald Fred Wilkie, Jennifer Wilkie, Yolanda (George) McKinney and Kateri (Ryan) Wilkie; 32 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Ronald worked numerous jobs throughout his life and was currently employed at the Prairie Knights Casino as Security Supervisor.

Ron was a hard dedicated worker and a very loving caring husband and father. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, telling jokes and pulling pranks on his family and friends. Ron enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially looking forward to the Wilkie Family Reunions.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Ron is survived by his wife Cheryl; children, Sandra DeCoteau, Ronald (Carla) Wilkie Jr, Michelle (Dean) Azure of Belcourt, Arthur Crissler, Lee Wilkie, Ronald Fred Wilkie and Jennifer Wilkie, all of Bismarck, and Kateri Doll, of Dickinson; sisters, Carol (Marlis) Smith, Renee (Greg) Enno, and Rosalyn (Brion) Smith, Belcourt; brother, Fred (Annette) Wilkie, North Plains, Oreg.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Rose Wilkie; sisters, Karen Azure, Sandra Wilkie and Linda Thomas; brother, Martin Wilkie; daughter, Yolanda McKinney; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Crissler; and grandson, Anthony DeCoteau.
