Rose Mary Kraft

Rose Mary Kraft, age 87 of Bismarck, ND (Formerly Strasburg, ND) has now gone to meet her maker on September 15, 2019.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 am Saturday, September 21, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg, with Fr. Shannon Lucht officiating.

Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Strasburg.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, September 20, at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm.

Rose was born in Zeeland, ND on May 27, 1932, the youngest daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Seiler) Schatz. She graduated from Zeeland Public School. She married Joseph Kraft on January 8, 1951. Together, they made their home on the Kraft family farm located east of Strasburg where they raised their 10 children. They operated a dairy farm until 1989 when they retired and moved into Strasburg.

Rose was a great gardener, cook, and baker. She used her skills to feed her family and many relatives, neighbors, and friends. She was a member of the Saint Mary’s Society, Ladies Auxiliary, and the homemakers club for many years. She loved to play cards and was a great playing partner. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who always encouraged us to pray and have faith.

Grateful to have shared her life are her children: Delphine (Bill) Drew, Deborah (Randy) Pate, Gerry (Cindy) Kraft, Beverly (Tom) Kelsch, Carleen (Bob) Buchholz, Kathleen (Tom) Meier, Mary (Randy) Ketterling, Patricia (Calvin) Bosch, Michael Kraft, and Thomas (April) Kraft, her 29 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents, 13 brothers & sisters, 2 grandsons, and one son-in-law.
