Rose (Meyer) St. Peter, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 29, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 3, at Church of the Ascension, 1825 S. 3rd St., Bismarck, ND, with Rev. Msgr. James Braaten officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday, July 2, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a rosary/vigil service will begin at 7:00 pm. Rose was born January 15, 1938, in Dickinson, ND, and was the youngest of 13 children of John and Margaret (Emineth) Meyer. She grew up on the Meyer family dairy farm south of Dickinson attending St. Joseph’s Catholic Grade School and graduating from Dickinson High School in 1955. Following graduation, Rose mastered skills as a stenographer and typist while pursuing a career in office management working for General Adjustment Bureau in Dickinson. In 1960 she earned a promotion with GAB, moving to Bismarck, ND. That summer Rose met her future husband and best friend, Dominic “Dom” St. Peter. The two were engaged in March of 1961 and married later that year, on September 9, in Rose’s hometown of Dickinson. Rose and Dom made their home in Bismarck where they built a wonderful life, raising five children and becoming fixtures in the local community. Rose was a dedicated stay-at-home mom devoted to faith, family and friends. Over the years, she enjoyed working various part-time jobs including Northwest Fabrics and Kirkwood Floral. Her life passions included spending time with grandchildren, cooking, sewing, gardening, playing golf, traveling, playing bridge, supporting St. Mary’s Central High School and following her favorite sport of baseball – especially the Minnesota Twins. She will be missed by her loving husband of nearly 57 years Dominic; her son Tom St. Peter of Bismarck, daughter Diane Lidenberg of Eden Prairie, MN; son Dave St. Peter of Chanhassen, MN; her daughter Jane Brill (John) of Chanhassen; and son Bill St. Peter (Sharon) of Maple Grove, MN. Eleven grandchildren; her brother Richard Meyer of Dickinson; and her sister Delores (Meyer) Schmidt of Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers John Meyer, Ben Meyer, Fred Meyer, Paul Meyer, and Ray Meyer of Dickinson; her sisters Sister Johnita Meyer OSB, of St. Joseph, MN; Barbara (Meyer) Boehm, of Sacramento, CA; Eleanore (Meyer) Frederick of Jeffersonton, VA; Arlene (Meyer) Amann, Richardton, ND; Lucille (Meyer) Hennan of Kansas City, MO; and her granddaughter Emma St. Peter of Bismarck. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Light of Christ Catholic Schools or the St. Mary’s High School Booster Club.
