Russell (Russ) Armen Partington was born Dec 26th, 1939 in Richmond, Indiana.
He graduated in 1957 At 23 years of age he enlisted in the Marine Corp. Russ served with distinction as a paratrooper and with Military Police. Russ was injured in a parachutist jump. He was honorable discharged from Fort Bragg, North Carolina after 3 years of services.
Russ always was a free spirit. He lived in Michigan, Colorado, Florida, California, and North Dakota. He worked as a truck driver, gunsmith, powerline worker, shop keeper and general entrepreneur. He owned Dragon Hide Leather shop in Steele, ND with a friend, Becky.
He loved motorcycling and rode Harleys, Indians, and Triumphs.
Russ was extremely talented in many different forms of art; including painting, leatherwork, carving and making jewelry. His favorite was making knives and swords
In his later years Russ lived at New Salem Care Center, Washburn and finally Mandan. We are grateful for the care he received at Prospera Sunset Dr.
Funeral service will be Thursday, August 6th at 10:30 am at Century Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
