Scott Messner, 48, Bismarck, passed away on November 23, 2024.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, December 6, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will be held an hour before the service begins.
Scott Allen Messner, son of Paul and Vickie Messner, was born October 24, 1976. Scott was raised in many cities as he grew up, but in 1988, Scott and his family made their final move to Bismarck where Scott graduated high school in 1994. Scott had several jobs after high school but in 2007 he decided to chase his dream of being a motorcycle mechanic and that’s exactly what he did. Scott moved to Phoenix, AZ and enrolled in MMI: Motorcycle Mechanic Institute and graduated with honors. Scott loved everything about motorcycles, but he especially loved riding his Harley. There was nothing more peaceful to him than a long ride on a cool summer day. In Scott’s eyes, life just couldn’t get any better than that.
Over the years, Scott had several jobs, but his current job for the last five years was at Wallwork Truck Center as a service advisor. He really enjoyed his job and his coworkers. They had a lot of great laughs together. Scott loved to joke and tease; he was so quick witted and had a knack for making things lighter when they needed to be. His mom called him her gentle giant with a heart the size of Texas. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Scott is survived by his parents, Paul and Vickie Messner of Bismarck; sister, Kristin Messner and niece, Brooklynn Schuh of Bismarck; brother, Justin Messner, wife Ashley and niece and nephews, Miles, Namine and Quinn, all of Bismarck. Scott is also survived by his uncle Ron, uncle Mike, aunt Vicki, and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Glen and Thelma Johnson and paternal grandmother, Olga Harr.
