Seth John Hinger, 26, Bismarck, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at his home, succumbing to the disease of depression.
Services will be held Monday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 1143 North 26th St., Bismarck, with Rev. Beth Walch officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.
Seth John Hinger was born April 14, 1993 in Bismarck. He attended Century High School and then worked jobs as a lube tech and in construction in Bismarck, Medina and Hebron, and in Rapid City, South Dakota. When very young he liked to rock with his mom and read books. He later enjoyed time outside exploring, riding bike, camping and riding four-wheeler with his dad. He loved to fish with his Grandpa Mike at the Hinger trout pond. He enjoyed skateboarding and driving around with his friends. His sister, Madison, and his cousin, Preston, were his best friends. Seth and Preston loved to go on adventures -- which were sometimes a little too adventurous. He liked playing games and watching movies with Madison, and he always made time to read and in his quiet time enjoyed writing music and playing guitar.
Survivors are his parents, Paula and Corey Hunt, and John (Claudette) Hinger, all of Bismarck; his sister, Madison Hunt, Bismarck; grandparents, Dick and Sharon Bargmann of Hebron, Arvadell Hinger of Bismarck, and Kenny Hunt of Devils Lake; aunts, Gena Kraenzel, Tina (Scott) Kudlock, Theresa (Chris) Rauch, and Carrie (Joel) Nett; and uncles, Ward (Christin) Hinger, Brent (Stephanie) Hinger, Keith (Sandy) Hinger, and Chad (Karen) Hunt; and cousins, Lacy, Shelby, Jamie, Preston, Hayley, Dameon, Kendall, Christopher and Isaak.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike Hinger and Linda Hunt.
The family gives special thanks to all family and friends who have shown kindness and support during this difficult time.
