Shirley J. Martini

June 19, 1935 — November 3, 2024

Bismarck

Shirley J. Kallevig Kemmis Martini was born to John “Papa” and Julia “Momma” Kallevig June on 19, 1935. She passed away November 3, 2024 at the age of 89.

A memorial service will be held in Sidney, MT at a later date.

Shirley was the tender age of 10 when she lost Momma to an infection. Momma told her “I love you Shirley but the only thing I have to leave you is Jesus.” Shirley held on to Jesus her entire life in anticipation of being with Jesus and Momma in Heaven.

Shirley was raised in and around Sidney, Montana. She was married to Ray E. Kemmis for 30 years until his passing at their home in Absarokee, Montana in 1981. A few years later she moved back to Sidney where in 1989 she married Howard Martini. Howard passed away in 1993.

She resided at Edgewood Memory Care in Bismarck, ND during her three-year end of life journey where she was cared for by a loving family of gifted caregivers.

Shirley was the youngest of 13 children and the last of her family to enter into eternal life. She was preceded by her siblings: Pearl, Cliff, Mabel, Chet, Gladys, Vern, Hazel, Vera, Leonard, Roy, Phyllis and Doris.

She is survived by her five children, Greg, Scott, Deanne, Vicki and Julie. She is Grandma to eight and great-grandma to 18. Momma raised her children to love Jesus so they would raise their children to love Jesus. Likewise, Shirley raised her children to love Jesus so they would raise their children to love Jesus and the legacy continues. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."

I'll love you forever; I'll like you for always!
