Timothy White

Timothy T. White, 89, Bismarck passed away on June 13, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Steele on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 10:30 am, with Rev. Jacob DeBoer officiating. Following the funeral service, burial will take place at 3:00 pm at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan.

Visitation will be held at the Eastgate-Steele Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 18, 2019  from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm and is open to the public.   

Tim grew up in Dawson, ND and lived most of his life in Steele.  He married Frances Heinz of Steele; and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage together. Tim served in the United States Army and was a long-time business owner, investor and supporter of the Steele community.  He owned and operated Tim's Texaco and later Tim's Oil until he retired in 1990.

Tim was an active outdoors-man and supporter of wildlife preservation causes. Hunting, fishing, and camping were his passion until COPD limited his physical abilities.  Tim was a fierce card player especially cribbage and gin rummy.  

He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Waddell and Janrose Jasper; his beloved companion, Ruth Gray; and many nieces and nephews who considered Tim their favorite uncle.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances;  his parents, Frederick Raymond (Bud) and Mary Eastburn White; and his siblings, Sharlow Neustel, Eastburn (Buck)  White, Joseph White, Martha (Mert) Thorsness, and Frederick Raymond White, Jr.
