Trent Heinemeyer

Trent Charles Heinemeyer, 60, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017.A memorial service will be held at 10am, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.Trent was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, and was the son of the late Ray Heinemeyer and Marilyn Heinemeyer who survives. He attended Bismarck High School, Bismarck Junior College, and received a B.S. degree in business from the University of North Dakota. He graduated from UND School of Law in 1982, and later received a degree in accounting from UND. He also added the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation to his list of educational accomplishments.Trent worked in the oil and gas industry as an attorney, and later became the Deputy Insurance Commissioner for the state of North Dakota. Following that, Trent served as Managing Counsel for the Product and Regulatory Services Department of GE Insurance Solutions Legal Division. He was also involved in entrepreneurial endeavors. In 2004 Trent joined MedPro Group in Fort Wayne, Indiana as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary until his passing. Trent assumed a vital role in the family after his dad’s passing in 1988. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and was extremely selfless, always putting family first in his life. He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his wife and son, and was continuously planning for the future.Trent is survived by his wife Roberta "Bobbi" Heinemeyer of Fort Wayne; mother Marilyn Heinemeyer of Bismarck, ND; son Jacob Heinemeyer of Fort Wayne; siblings, Monte (Michelle Bachmeier) Heinemeyer of Bismarck, ND; Tammy (Tom) Pray of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Darin (Denise) Heinemeyer of Minneapolis, MN.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
